I am originally from Colombia but moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. I hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism from SUNY Old Westbury and have gained experience working for Telemundo and WNBC. For more than ten years, I worked as a news assignment editor and newscast producer for Univision Channel 41. Following that, I spent 11 years as a supervisor in the public information office at MTA-LIRR.
I am pursuing a Master's degree in Public Policy at SUNY Empire and a Social Media Strategist certification through Cornell University.
One of my personal goals is to contribute to the latino community. I also on the board of directors and executive board secretary of the organization Hispanic Counseling Center. This organization provides mental health resources to the Latino community on Long Island. I also volunteer my time as a mentor part of the NY State Mentoring Program.
